If you want to find out what a relay call is like without actually making one, have a look at our new call tutorial.

People wanting to learn about relay calls can now experience SMS Relay or Internet Relay calls by going to a section of the NRS website.

The NRS has launched the new option to show that relay calls are not difficult or intimidating. They give potential users a sense of what it’s really like to make or receive a relay call.

Managing Director of NRS Outreach Deborah Fullwood explained that the call tutorial will help people learn about the relay service and get close to it without having to make an actual call.

‘Making the first relay call can be quite scary for some people. This online call tutorial sets out what happens behind the scenes. And it gives tips for a positive NRS experience. People can have a go on the site as many times as they want, until they feel comfortable to make that first relay call’.

‘The NRS Call Tutorial is a way for people to learn more about the relay service. It can also help businesses gain a better understanding of the NRS and feel confident that their staff know what to do when they take a call from a customer using the service,’ said Ms Fullwood.
