Survey of health professionals and the NRS
10 May 2012
The NRS works closely with health professionals such as audiologists, audiometrists, speech pathologists, nurses, social workers and occupational therapists.
It’s important that professionals such as yourselves, who are respected by people with hearing or speech impairments, can:
- provide up-to-date and comprehensive information about relay calls to your clients, and
- show how the NRS can help many clients have good phone conversations and retain their independence and privacy.
Many people only find out about relay calls through their health professionals.
The NRS is therefore developing an exciting new online learning module designed to raise awareness and understanding of the service among these key intermediaries. The module will be available later in the year.
Awareness of the NRS among some health professionals, however, remains low. So that’s why we would like to survey as many of you as possible to find out:
- your levels of awareness and understanding of the NRS, and
- how the NRS can better support you in referring clients to the service.
Each health professional to take part in the survey goes in the draw to win up to $1000 contribution by the NRS towards the registration and associated costs of attending the next national conference of their relevant professional association. There will be one winner for each association.
Please access the survey here any time to 6 July 2012. It takes about ten minutes to complete.
See the terms and conditions for the draw here.
The prize will be drawn on 20 July 2012.
