More mobile devices compatible with internet relay
31 May 2012
Internet relay calls can now be made on more mobile phones and tablets following the release of a new version of internet relay in May.
Internet relay calls can be made on these mobile devices:
|
Device |
Operating system |
|
iPhone |
iOS 5 and above |
|
iPad |
iOS 5 and above |
|
Android-based phones (eg Samsung, HTC, Sony) and Android tablets |
4 and above |
Note that:
- if you have an iPhone, iPad or Android-based phone with an older operating system than that listed above, you can usually update the operating system for free
- Blackberry phones are not compatible with internet relay.
To make internet relay calls through the NRS website you will need to have one of these browsers on your device:
|
Browser |
Version |
|
Internet Explorer |
6 and above |
|
Chrome |
18 and above |
|
Firefox |
9 and above |
|
Safari |
5 and above |
|
Opera |
11 and above |
Please remember that mobile phone technology is a rapidly moving field. There are new models appearing all the time, so it is always a good idea to check around and also look at user forums on the web. It is impossible to be certain that any particular new model of mobile device will work with internet relay, so NRS users should check out whether a particular model is compatible with internet relay before purchase.
