The committee provides advice to both service providers on issues such as quality of service, consumer benefits and consumer satisfaction related to the operation of the NRS.

Number of meetings
Members are required to attend two scheduled committee meetings each year and would also be expected to attend any additional meetings called.
What the committee looks at
Issues considered by the committee include, but are not limited to:
- consumer satisfaction with the NRS
- concerns with the NRS raised by consumers/consumer groups
- requests by the NRS service providers for information/advice on NRS issues
- commenting on future planned developments within the contract for both Relay and Outreach service providers
- feedback and complaints provided to members and feedback and complaints data from the NRS service providers, including processes undertaken to resolve issues.
Secretariat
The Relay Service Provider is responsible for the secretariat functions of the committee including preparation of agendas and minutes.
Working groups
The NRSCCC may establish working groups to progress particular issues. These groups may be formed for a specific period of time to consider a particular issue, or may be formed on a standing basis. These groups will contain at least two members of the committee.
Attendance of non-members
Members may propose to the Chair that a non-member attend an NRSCCC meeting to provide information or answer questions on specific agenda items. The Chair will accept or reject the proposed attendance.
Consultation
Members are expected to consult with consumers on issues which come under the jurisdiction of the committee. Members are expected to accurately represent these views to the NRS through the committee.
